In spite of having to undergo personal issues, Hugh Alexander began to sense the need to return to the studio after 20 years. The result? Soul for your soul, a new collection of songs to beat the depression and give the world a renewed sense of hope.
The Man
Apart from his family, Hugh Alexander has known two great passions in his life. The first is music, the second is God. Leaving music behind, He gave up his first love to pursue life as a minister of the Gospel. 25 years later he discovered that he could have both! Hugh Alexander makes music while he preaches and preaches while he makes music.

I’m coming home this Christmas
A new song written during the 2020 pandemic lockdowns and finally released this year in 2021. At the point of writing it Hugh had not seen his Mum in a year. Hope you love this song.
Love will lead you home
I wanted to write a song for the people who are fighting in wars around the world. I wanted to send them a message of hope. I wanted to let them know God is watching over them and that love will lead them home. This song took more than six months to make, it was like a baby in the womb that didn’t want to be birthed. but in the end I think it was worth it.

One Day (Freedom Mix)
Sitting in my studio apartment in Spain in the third month of total lockdown from Corona virus in 2020. The world seemed to be almost unrecognisable compared to just a few months ago. I switched on my computer and began to hear and see another scenario unfolding. A wave of anger and confusion spreading around the world after the killing of George Floyd. I wondered what I could possibly do about the situation as I saw many thousands taking to the streets to in order make their protest heard.
A year after the song was originally released, The Freedom Mix seeks to add refinement and excellence to the original mix which was recorded and mixed under the restrictions of a global lockdown.

A collection of songs all written, recorded and mastered in the lockdown of 2020. Songs like “Dont give up”, “Its gonna be alright” and “your love” were the thoughts that brought Hugh though a very trying year. He believes they will get you through the tough times to come.
